I think I have to get that gold ring out, I actually think that gold ring is actually the inside of the seal but I'm just a little afraid if I'm wrong that I will destroy the diff

Downingtown is a boring place on most days. Wish there was a garage to do a meet and build day.

is that the rear seal or front seal cant tell by looking atm a little drunk but if it is rear just use the end of the axel to take out the old seal and use a big socket to hit the new one in with and dont forget to put some grease on it befor u install it

I matched them up it looked like it was right but I tried prying on it and it wouldn't budge so I put it back together and im gonna top it off with oil and baby it to the mechanic and have them fix it

Small bill from a mechanic is better then buying a new diff cuz I fucked it up trying to fix it

Might not do you much good now, but I have a slide hammer and hook for pulling those seals out. Never used it on the Tacoma but out worked well on the outer axle seals on My old Scout.

:( I was pretty frustrated with the whole thing, but I'll get it fixed then maybe when the passenger side goes out I'll actually fix that myself

 yep that couldve heped a little bit... actually if my dad would'nt of been 4 states away this weekend it probably would have been done without any problems :(

I'll be heading up to Jordan PA this wknd. Buddies a mine from college live around there, one guys Grandparents have a cabin up there I guess we're gonna be staying in this year instead of tents, or vehicle in my case lol. Usually stay in the state forest? around White Deer I believe. Guns, fish, friends, food, and beers make for a good wknd. Will be my first trip East with the Taco, looking forward to it!!
