    If it has a wire harness plugged in to the air box about 6 inches from the throttle body then yes. I'm guessing all later models have them...

    That would most definitely be a MAF sensor.

    Read the first post of this thread and it explains how to clean the MAF.

    he has the stock maf sensor and housing tho, do i just diconnect the air filter tube leading to the TB and spray down that way and call it good?

    Yes you can definitely do that, just make sure to disconnect the negative terminal of your battery anytime you work on your truck and disconnect your MAF. If you choose to pull the MAF out of the intake tube, make sure to NOT touch the wire at all! It is VERY sensitive and will brake if handled roughly! Either way works but just be sure to be careful and take your time. Also make sure you use a MAF cleaner and nothing else.

    Just did this to my truck. '08 Access Cab w/ 52,000 miles. Was pretty nasty. Runs way better. Better throttle response and now idles around 700. Was over 1K. Sweet. Thanks!

    I get the emails on all the other threads I've subscribed to. Silly me, I didn't think to subscribe to this one when I first saw it. Good info.
    You stated that the TB gasket is actually an O-ring. Does that appear to be a delicate item. I've never pulled this apart and don't want it to tear and leave me needing one.

    The o-ring was stout. Even when I cleaned mine again at 150,000 miles the o-ring was in good shape. The o-ring stays seated, I never had to do anything with it.

    The black piece the throttle body butterfly attaches too has the o-ring seated in a groove.

    I finally got around to doing this. The truck seems to idle smoother now.
    I did pull the TB off to clean behind it... that was a snap.
    As for the MAF sensor, I ended up removing it from the housing and spraying it separately. My housing still has the Charcoal filter that sits behind the air filter. It doesn't just pop out and I didn't want all the spray saturating it. Reading about how delicate they are, I was nervous, but no big deal. Two screws and the connector, and it pulled out easy.
    When I was done I took the time to clean up the battery terminals with steel wool. As far as I know, they'd never been off.
