Looking to do an On board water on my DCSB. I don't know where to start.

The Oakley truck had it and I have been eyeing it ever since.

I use a solar bag shower and just hang it off the side of the cargo rack. I also have a 15-gal plastic tank w/ spigot that I carry in case I'm in the desert where no water source is handy. Here I was thinking I was all good to go and now I see this thread. Damnit! Like I needed another project to think about! :frusty: :D

Heres this one on a Discovery done using the trucks radiator system (working on the hot side of things of course) with a small 12v water pump tucked inside bumper....hook up water can to pump, let truck idle and hot water under pressure, the best.

this is very doable on any car/truck with stuff from any Auto parts store and home depot.

i haven't done one, it was just one of many thing that got done to my Rover over time. i can work on breaking it down, its pretty simple stuff actually......bunch of hoses running parallel with the radiators hot water side and back out to the pump by the bumper.

for now... and probably a better idea since its a Toyota as well, heres a write up on one done to a Land Cruiser....i will say, unlike this one, mine is a MUCH cleaner set up that is hard to even tell when you open the hood, but you get the idea on the basics on how you run the system.

As far as on board water goes, if you have on board air it would be very easy to set up a tank to be pressurized so that you could mount it basically anywhere you have space and have a good flow to it. Working the radiator into it would be awesome as well for camping and hunting.

On trips, I'd just as soon stay in my truck than pay for a hotel room. The shower is the only thing that would keep me from doing it. If I got a set up like that, screw hotels.

I would like to see the clean set up as well. Would be pretty neat.
