wouldnt your kit be concidered Mid travel? only 12.75" of travel bumped and strapped, you could not get 14-15-16" inches ??? still good job taking on a build like that, your truck still looks good

everyone thinks differently about long travel and mid travel. personally if the upper and lower arms are longer than stock thats long travel IMO.

most production kits thats 3.5 wider per side only get a little over 13

Sorry if this has been addressed already but:

    - Did you use mild steel or 4130 plate?

    - What MIG wire? ER70S?

    - Are those LCA spindle adapters hand-cut plate?

    - Planning on using thicker wall tube for the LCA pivots next time?

    Hot Rolled 3/16 & 1/4" mild

I can't recall Its been so long since I last bought wire. I'll get back to you on that.

    - Are those LCA spindle adapters hand-cut plate?
Yes I cut them out of 1/2" mild and plated them with 1/4"x1" 4130 on its side but before that I used a 2-5/8" hole saw and a drill press to cut a hole the same size as the uniball cup.

    - Planning on using thicker wall tube for the LCA pivots next time?
Yes .25 wall tube or 1" uniballs either way I'm still going to wrap them with 1/8" steel :)

Thought about 4130 next time? You probably used ER70S-6 since it was mid steel. That 1/2" plate must have been fun to cut and hole through, haha! And yeah, beefier pivots would make a whole lot more sense.

I asked about the wire because I'm wondering about MIG welded 4130 suspensions with no heat treating/stress relieving. That's probably what I will be doing.

4130 is nice but since I wont be heat treating it I'll just stick with mild lots of shops build LT kits out of mild steel with no problems. I cut that 1/2" with a 4.5" grinder and a cut off wheel lol yeah lots of blade carnage :D also my drill press needed a new belt so it took about 15 mins per adapter of just strait drilling and lots of cutting fluid

Does your hole saw still have teeth? haha

Landon, do you have experience MIG'ing 4130? I hear ER70S-2 is a good wire
