Ok, this is a work in progress for me. I thought maybe 2 days, and I'm on day 4.....

The tranny is mostly back on. It's fits nicely on the bottom, but the top is sticking out an 1" or 2". The bell housing isn't fully on the pins yet. I was able to thread a few of the bolts on and started slowly cranking it up alternating all around the bell housing. My fear is that I might be doing some damage somehow. It's about the only way I can get this thing to move forward towards the engine. I put a ratchet strap on the front of the jack and hooked to the front of the truck and pulled it snug, but it wasn't enough to get the tranny to seat against the engine. Also, the tranny is stuck in gear (I had the pull the shit out of the shifter to get it to pop out of the top of the tranny). Should it be N or does it matter.

Thanks guys, it's been a lot more tedious than I anticipated....

Ok, almost there......tranny is all back together and seems to be working. I replaced the slave cylinder on the clutch (came with the throwout bearing from Toyota). I'm having trouble bleeding the sucker. I've been pushing the clutch to the floor (it gets stuck there until I pull it back), cracking the release valve (a little fluid comes out), tightening the valve back up and then release the clutch. I then push in the clutch slowly and repeat. Done this about a dozen times (not seeing bubbly fluid come out of the release) valve, but no pressure is building in the pedal. I tried running the truck and I have about 2" before the clutch grabs......Any ideas????!!!!????

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Clutch cylinders are notorious for being a pain to bleed. My suggestion is to buy a vacuum bleeder and do it that way.

I was looking online and found a guy that recommended hooking up a rubber hose line from the brake bleeder to the clutch slave bleeder and using the brake power to reverse bleed the clutch. Makes sense to me, what do you guys think?

    Thanks, eh!

Not a bad idea. It should definitely force the air up and out. Just make sure the brake reservoir doesn't go empty.

Finally all back together and running well....the brake/clutch bleed works well and is much easier to do.

Nice to finally have the "chirp" gone from the tranny!
