ouch, checking grades hurts if you don't keep up with them. I do, helps keep me on track, I use an excel spreadsheet with all the formulas for calculating grades (PS: I can email a blank one if you want it lol, PM me with your email)

I hate finals week....I go through too much ammo at the skeet range blowing off steam after each final......box of 90 clays after each one.

this semester may be worse.....I may go through a box and a half after each....crap that is a lot fo ammo and I am gonna have to switch shotguns every 6 rounds or so to keep them from getting too hot...

If your username is any indication of the program you are in at school, I do not envy you this time of year.

yep, we passed through the Amanas on our way back home. I really wanted their dopplebock but they wouldn't fill a growler with it because it was a specialty brew.

you want to switch places with me?

freshman year is already bad..........the first engineering class is a weedout class. I'm already taking for the second time this semester

ya....I have a difficult exam week.....makes it worse that it is VT...bery good engineering program=harder engineering program

I was in Engineering at Iowa State, while I passed the weed out classes, I still chose a different path.

ya....It makes no sense to me that the weed out class is the first engineering class. it should be the second that is the weedout. I'm going into mining engineering when I get done with college....5 years (or 6) and I will graduate with a masters degree

I think it makes perfect sense.... Why waste 2 semesters on something you can find out is too hard for you in 1?

They are just prepping you for what it is going to be like. I made it through Computer Engineering at Iowa State, another very good engineering school like VT. It wasn't easy, but well worth it in the long run. The classes don't get easier, but they are more enjoyable because they aren't so much gen ed as they are in your major.

Nah man, most of the classes the first semester are gen ed glasses except that one. (ie: chem, calc, electives, english, etc....) second semester is the same, and if you originally look at engineering, my guess is you will most likely end up in another major that requires a lot of the science/math classes

I know they don't get easier, just more entertaining after the first 3 or 4 semester, more hands on stuff.

Exactly. Stick with it, it is definitely worth it to finish it up.
