I think raptor drivers are the new jeep drivers. Ya know. They think they can do anything in their vehicle just because of the stigma behind it.

kinda outta my travel zone here.

Holy F***! there are some nice trucks in this thread.
Just a question for you desert guys out there.
I know apples to oranges but I will ask anyway.
Trophy trucks are usually the same width in terms of front and rear ends when settled. Or close to it
A lot of your trucks are extended uppers and lowers in the front.
Are any of you guys widening the rear to suit? Or is it totally unneccesary and expensive?
Just a question. Not trying to stir shit up but the long travel prerunner is not all that common here in BC Canada

    thx

    ...too much shit to list.
Nearly everyone (if not everyone) with front LT has at a minumum 1.25"-1.5" spacers on the rear to try to get closer to the extended length arms up front. Some swap rear axles and use a Tundra axle or those with the really deep pockets, a Ford 9."

Having a narrow ass and a wide front end makes for interesting handling characteristics.

I had a Raptor driver tell me that I can't keep up because my bilsteins cant keep up with his stock foxes. The whole time standing behind my truck with this view.

You could for sure make them work... It just depends on where you mount them. The clevis would be a good idea. I originally ran a F55 pack with 9" shackles. I bought these for that and just never replaced them until now with all the different leaf packs I've ran

Personally I don't think its that bad considering how many are out there and that a large majority of the owners don't seem to have any prior off road seat time

I believe it is, I vaguely remember seeing a pic of the frame bent. If I come across it again I'll post it
    EDIT: Kinda looks bent here
    DSC_0019_817fd1946e1e84139bdca68c43f32c355aab9c7a.jpg

No doubt about it. I got a good laugh when I was reading a thread about the Texas Raptor Run and guys were asking for class's teaching them how to run their trucks. They were also suggesting that they have a pace truck on a 42 mile course. If I'm gonna spend 40-55K on something I'm surely gonna have some past experience 1st.

With the RPG truck getting wrecked, I guess he came around a turn and there was a truck sitting in the middle of the road, and he had 2 options, plow through the other Raptor or yank the wheel into the cattle guard.
Either way it sounds like he was screwed
