Storm Chasers Drive into Path of Tornado (vid) Wichita, KS

    This happened last night, the tornado that struct Wichita, KS... This video is from the chasers' (SWAT Chasers) camera pod mounted atop the vehicle.. In vehicle vid/audio was a separate feed, that i don't believe has been synchronized to this of yet... Though, I did see the in-car feed last night live on ChaserTV..

    picks up at about 7:38 and probably hit right about 7:54 when they stop, ..and you can see a pole fall down in front of them and some bright power flashes...

    My wife's work building was heavily damaged by that tornado. As a result, she's been on a week long paid vacation since. I'm a little jealous.

    didn't hear reports of deaths from it, ...so that is good to hear... hope you didn't have anything of yours get torn up..

    no deaths, thankfully. and only a few injuries. the forecast was way in advance, and coverage of the storm was some of the best i've seen. props to our local weather crew. they worked without breaks for hours on end to alert the public. that is what saves lives. when the tornado was on the ground, the path was headed directly for my house. i truly thought i was about to lose everything, but it took a turn to the east and missed my neighborhood. very thankful for that.
