    Steering rack bushings...

What a difference. No double bumps and less slack on turns. Most noticeable while entering/exiting driveways and going over potholes. Worth $25 and a few hours spent.

Wash, clay bar, wax, reapplied Rain-X to the windshield, heat gunned the lower valence to bring it back to being black rather than faded, removed the rear mud flaps, vacuumed the inside. Was gonna take off the running boards but everything down there is lock up so I'll get at it in the morning when the PB has had a chance to break everything loose. I also found out where my rattle was coming from turns out all the bolts for the cat converter shield were rusted through and it just fell off with a quick hit of my hand so that's one rattle gone. I intended to grease everything up but didn't get around to it. Now to get rid of these rims...

mmm 3 maybe? lol I really need to work on my Dad's truck for him the paint is all hazy and faded and in dire need of a wash and wax.\
I thought we were going to have a krazy 2.0 here for a second.

Edit: I do have a legit mod planned. I'm going to put some boat cleats on my tool box so that I can strap things down, ie my cooler, and not have them on the tail gate. My S10 got me paranoid about putting pressure on the gate because with pressure on it, it would open so I like to strap everything down as close to the cab as possible that and just to help weigh distribution a little more.

washed it for the first time in over 6 months, no joke. And it sits outside in the sun all day so the head lights and flares are faded like crazy. I hate seeing my truck in such a sad state, I need to find a place that has a garage.

Did the deck plate mod today. I did a 4 inch deckplate. I also taped off the silencers. has anyone else done that? it sounds awesome but im a little worried about the tape gettin sucked into the intake. any thoughts?

Leave the silencers on, you can only remove the little one anyways, the other stuff has a vacuum line attached and needs to stay.

Leave it all stock with your deck plate.

Well i took both off. the little one that looks like a J or elbow macaroni. and the big one with the vacuum line. should i untape the big one with the vacuum line?

Also, i left them on the truck they are just taped up so air cant flow into them

x2, Chris4x4 did some dyno testing of this stuff IIRC and he found no gain in removing the silencers.

Both of my silencers are capped and I've had no problems..... It's been that way for almost a year now.

I got a 2" Plastic clean out from lowes and put it in place. Then put a valve in so I could connect the vacuum to it. Ended up going back to stock and running deck plate only since I didn't notice a difference and had to extend the vacuum line.

So instead of buying more things for zero butt dyno difference I decided to stay with the deck plate only lol

Search for isr mod. There's a few debatable posts about gains. I'll look when I'm not on my phone lol

Put all your vital air lines back together and your airbox assembly back to stock, you will only harm things if you tamper with it and leave it.

But it makes it sound way better. :) So why not? And it's not *removing* them, it is simply taking them off, placing tape (I used duct tape) over the holes and putting them back on the intake tube. (including that vacuum line on the larger silencer)

What did you use to cap them off?

Everything is back stock. the vacuum lines and everything are back on. the only thing different is a piece of tape over the hole for the silencer
