    Nah, cruisers are way easier, lower center of gravity. Crotch rockets are great for draggin knees at high speeds, but at 5 mph, you really have to feather that clutch and countersteer like a mofo. The Vstar was def a heavy bike to do a figure eight on, I actually had only ridden it for about 2 days before I took the two day basic course, but. I only dropped my foot once and it was more of a quick little tap because I thought I was about to fall over lol. It really just depends how comfortable you feel turning. Your best bet is to just keep turning around on your street at super low speed over and over and over again. I do it all the time just out of boredom and trying to better myself. Every so often i get that burst of luck/bravery, and pretty much whip the bike around on a dime and its awesome :-D

    Dude, where are you stationed? Talk to your command. There are/should be military run riders courses for free on some bases, but they might have a waiting list.
