I would like to put a small safe in my truck, large enough to hold a laptop, cell phone, gps, cash and maybe a folder for important papers.

I have an 04 reg cab with a shell so what brands locations best way to secure the safe etc...

I tend to move quite a bit and travel from time to time and my old car had a locking trunk which was great, I just need something stronger than glass between my stuff and the bad guys!

    Thanks!

The early 2000's 4Runner has a locking glove box. Maybe swap in one of them?

Buy an inexpensive safe and bolt it to the truck behind your seat.

May take some modding, but you might be able to fit this under your seat or behind it. It's not the best thing in the world, but its cheap, easy to hide, and will take some time to get into. Perfect for a vehicle. I had one of these in the trunk of my old Camry I used to keep my gun in when I had to take it off...It has holes for bolting it to the body and a back up key if the keypad dies.

Well if you don't park in the getto slide that stuff under the seat you have insurance for theft right?
