04tacomaSR5, do the deck plate mod! Pros, I feel like my truck has a better response. And it runs cooler. Cons, I got blue RTV on my shirt :( haha

I "think" he's only a 4cyl in that case I always had better gains with a CAI on the 4 bangers

I am pretty impartial haha. It does make the truck a little louder, but I have not seen much if any performance gains. I did notice it made the truck not want to downshift on slight inclines like it did before, which I like. Oh also, my air filters need replacing twice as fast. I need to buy an afe filter one of these days...

And btw, I have driven through some deep ass puddles and a few rivers with it out (I know, I am a moron. But it was when I first did it and forgot I had the plate open) and it has never had a drop of water in the airbox...

Yesterday I got Weather Tech Digital Fit Floor Liners.

A few people asked for pictures, so here they are. They fit really nicely.

A guy was trying to sell some tires from his Tacoma outside his house for a couple weeks now. Well yesterday I drove by and he just decided to give them away for free. They are Regul trailblazer tires 33x12.50x15..so they're pretty wide lol..Not gonna fit my truck, but I have them anyways.

Swapped out my decaying rear bumper for the one 45acp gave to me (thanks Jon!)

Being the moron I am, I forgot to repaint the bumper before I put it on.... even though I was on a spray painting binge for the past few days (see below)

Thought this was a brilliant design by Toyota to get at the rearmost bolts

So since I am on a spray painting binge with sleep deprivation and high on fumes, I decided to paint my ancient action packer to match the two newer ones I have. Formerly green... now black

    photo-25_d1b8471ade4723540bd8642fffb6162b25c9ec1b.jpg

And to get an idea to see if I want to repaint the rear bumper and door handles semi-gloss or flat black, I decided to paint my tire iron as a sample to move around the truck [IMG]

    photo-26_1cd8af066522ac7f2745fd4ba99914898f14a9cb.jpg

I think I'm feeling the semi-gloss for the rear bumper and door handles. Not too shiny but makes it look clean :)

Almost lost this on the freeway. That would have been sweet. Think I need new skids yet? :D

Have you considered what is going to happen if you have to reverse over an object? Looks as if you will get hung up on the skid.
