Anyone into R/C?

That exo made quick work in that race.

I think im gonna go with the castle mmp 1410 3800kv combo, seems to be a good solid setup for 2s, I ordered 2 of the new gen ace 2s 5800 45c batterys a few days ago so I can use them.

Picked up a spektrum dx3s from rctech for a great price , gonna use the telemetry receiver on my slash and use the sr300 in the exo.

 

I got one of those batteries about a week ago. Heavy as fuck for a 2s lipo, but good runtime and punch. I think the all metal transmission is dragging my truck down... and also killing runtime...

 

my 6600mah 2s lipo is pretty heavy. I've also added a bunch of aluminum to my slash, havent really noticed much difference on the track though. what feels different about your truck?

 

I'm thinking about trying one of these turnigy batteries. 6600mah 65C for $46

Ha! I posted that battery before your post went through.. or something. Before my truck had this ridiculous off-the-line torque. Now that the drivetrain is heavier it takes just a little bit longer to wind completely out. (But it's still running cool). On the plus side it has a tendency to fly a little more level, despite the fact that I have 80wt oil in one rear shock while the other isn't holding any.

Also crammed the diff with kendall superblue high temp grease, and I mean I really crammed it. I would say it's about 75%-90% locked now.

 

I think I know what you mean, as I did almost exactly the same things as you lol. filled my diff with thick grease, added a graphite/aluminum tranny, aluminum hubs, an associated 87t slipper and spur assembly, and 17mm hubs.

I prefer the stable feel going over jumps and on the track, than the tons of torque. Actually feels more stable on high speed runs, straights down the track, and around the turns.

 

Yea. I'll grow into, I'm sure. It'll help a lot when I get my suspension straightened out..

 

Get some pro-line shocks haha

Thanks for the heads up, my gen ace 3s 5000mah is heavy as hell, it helped keep my slash down, haha.

 

If for some reason you would want to wait I've seen some teaser pics of a gens ace 7000mah 50c I'm sure that would be plenty heavy!

 

I can get a pair of integy piggybacks for 20 bucks... Anyone heard anything about them? I know integy doesn't have the greastest rep.

Yea, they look pretty neat. From what I understand it's a xxx-sct with different body work etc.. kinda like the hpi apache C1 and the apache SC

they might be too short to use

search for the FT shocks for the SC10FT kit, they are big bores with threaded bodies and you can get Aluminum caps for it

 

They do great with the white springs on the SCX10
