    What movie did you see?

    I'm bored.

    Rather drunk too.

Re-mounted deck, viewing angle much better :)

no Idea why I am typing like this.

    More beer...

Edit: Anyone want to go to the gun show with me tomorrow? My wife is working at one of the booths and I need ammo.

Use the mounting kit that came with the the scosche kit. It mounts it at a flat angle, you really can't modify the stock brackets with out a lot of cutting. The kit snaps together and is pretty stable, but could be ripped out very quickly vs. stock. Bring your truck over, lets fix that shit. Stereo is fuuuuun... Plus I re-tuned the entire stereo, it's nice.

Ooooh, ok. Yeah I don't have that Scosche kit anymore. Id have to buy another one. Good to know tho. I'd doesnt bother me that much, but interested to see yours and how it changed it. I still need to get it solid.. it rattles around and stuff. Especially that little trim piece.

Well hit me up when you want to fix it. I started to mark my stock brackets up to cut then noticed I had the rest of the kit still in a bag, used that and its really nice.

With my viewing angle everything was really dark, passengers in the back can't see diddly shit. It was somewhat viewable it bright movies like Revenge of the Nerds and Wall-E, but with movies such the last 2 harry potters, its such a dark movie in general I wasn't able to see anything on the screen if it was on a night scene. After the adjustment, all movies look fantastic.

Now I've been working on getting bluray format converted down from 1080p and keep as much audio quality as possible. I spent hours on it last night and can't get the audio to sync right with the video.

i think I am going to remove my radio all together and see if a lowrance will fit into the head unit area. the lowrance allows for a sd card so I can just load all my music to that...but i have no monies :(

dont even know if it will work

I have an avh-3200bt that I got 2-3 years ago for 250$, love it. It doesn't have GPS but you can get an add-on for it. The screen is smaller and they make a few newer versions. You can get the avh-3200bt on sale for around 200$ these days, and I like mine a lot.

If you got questions Patrick you can come check out my stereo and see how it sounds, go over options for you. A simple HU alone would be a very quick and easy install and makes a huge improvement over stock.

@ollie, what model do you have? There is a decent amount of room in there to work with and the stock mounting brackets could be cut/welded very easy to fit something custom. If you can fit an iPad in the dash we should be able to get a Lowrance to fit.

Today is really getting to me..... I spend an hour cutting a hole in my truck for my back up camera (put it under the tailgate next to the hole to lower the spare tire). Pull my dash kit apart, pull my head unit out and go to grab my vid wire out of my garage. "What the f***, where is my parts box?" Come to find out, my land lord threw it away. Now I'm pissed because I have to get a new one. Freakin hell. To top it off, he is putting up pictures of Britney Spears throughout the house. FU** I gotta get a new place to stay fast so I don't have to deal with this fairy.
