30k, what should I do?

    So my truck just hit 30k the other day and I'm thinking it is time for some preventative maintenance. I know I should do spark plugs but I am not sure which ones to get? The dealer wants almost $9.00 per plug for the OEM stuff and that is ridiculous to me so I am looking at going with something else. Has anyone used the E3 Diamond Fires? If so, what did you think of them? There is also a newer plug out called the Pulstar I believe. Lots of hype behind them too but was wondering if anyone has used them as well?

    Next will be the coolant. I know Toyota recommends the Toyota brand but what are you all using in your trucks when you changed the coolant in them?

    Last is doing the front and rear diffs, manual transmission and transfer case fluids. With those, I will be using either Mobil 1 synthetics or AMS oil but am not sure which one I will go with yet?

    At 30k, can you guys think of anything else that may need to be done? The truck is a 2007 Tacoma TRD Off Road package 4x4 with the 4.0 V6 for those wondering.

    do a search for 30 k maintenance. Tells you everything you need to do

    Do not get pulstar. I bought those because the reviews on the website were all good then I googled them and saw nothing but shitty reviews for them. I ended up returning them and bought the NGK plugs.

    TRD Cat-back Exhaust. Semi-Debadged. Trimmed down stock Antenna. Weathertech vent visors. TRD FJ Cruiser Center Cap Wheel Mod. 265/75/16 Firestone Destination A/T,s . Inverter tapped into for outlet in cab. Tacomaworld sticker which adds 5 hp.
    As far as the spark plugs, I have heard other people have tried others, and where slightly disappointed in them, and said stock where better. I can't speak for the fluids.

    And damn, an 07 and just hit 30,000. Thats some good milage. I have a 2010, and just hit 30 last week.

    OEM on spark plugs... Like another said, order online and ask for online price. Either that or try another dealer. $9 sounds high.

    Im using Toyota red coolant which needs to get mixed with distilled water. Again here, ask for online price. I got a gallon for $23. x2 on using the superflush.

    I use
    $30 Mobil 1 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)
    Mobil 1 75w-90 in both diffs and MT-90 in transfer and tranny.

    x2 on cleaning MAF and TB. Don't forget engine oil/filter, air filter, rotate tires, and grease your driveshaft.

    Where do you guys recommend buying the OEM plugs online? Are there certain dealers that deal in online business?

    Also, I went to the local automotive store today to look into getting gear oil for the front and rear diffs, tranny and transfer case. I was going to go with Mobil 1 synthetic but both places in this little town I live in no longer carry it. They do however, carry Royal Purple. I have always used Mobil 1 and have had good experiences with that brand but it looks like it is going to be a little harder to obtain in the town I live in. Has anyone had any experience with the Royal Purple stuff and what did they think of it? How does Ams Oil also compare to the two other brands as well because there is a place in town that sells that stuff and I have heard good things about Ams.

    I believe there are two Toyota OEM parts dealers in the vendor section. Never used them, so perhaps another member can chime in.

    As for oil. I personally go with AMSOIL. Everyone has their own brand that they like. Been using it since day 1, happy with the results, so I stuck with it. Using the synthetic series:
    Engine - 0W-30
    Front/Rear Diff -
    $30 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)
    75W-90
    Transfer Case - 75W-90

    Everyone has a different opinion. For the rear diff, plenty will say dyno is fine as long as you change it every 30k. LSD put in the additives, etc, etc.

    Like the others said, OEM plugs. Denso FTW!

    Search TW for more suppliers though, these are not the only ones. I've used toyotapartseast & toyotapartsales. I picked up denso plugs @ $2.88 a piece off of toyotapartsales last month along with the crush washers for the diffs and transfer case and it was cheaper after shipping than getting them from my local dealer.
