Ooh. Good idea. When my wife notices it I'll tell her the scangauge is an early tax refund present from me to my truck. Yeah that'll work!

Yeah, I'm buying a toy: real estate. It's a great "mod" that, when purchased intelligently, will increase in value and now's the time to buy.

A winch bumper or some sliders would be nice... Then again, so would paying down the house and/or truck so we have more money each month! :D Also need new tires, but that might not be able to wait that long. They're kinda iffy on the snowy roads now (meaning, about as bad as the stock ones they replaced 30+k ago).

Basically, it's an interest free loan that stupid people like me give the government every year that we then have to ask (beg?) to be returned.

Ugh, if I hear this time to buy crap one more time I'm gonna puke.

If you want a list of articles that will show you otherwise I will send them, otherwise please stop listening to Realtor hype. Of course this should be in off topic, Real estate is not worthy of Tacoma talk.

I'll actually be buying wheels/tires. Dealership appointment for the rear TSB is the end of the month.

Yeah, you're like "wrong" and stuff. Key word: FORECLOSURE, like the house I just bought for half the current market value. Your articles mean nothing and you obviously know nothing about the market around here. Articles, lol. As though I need a "journalist" to tell me what's best for my money.

But you are at least right about one thing: it is off topic.

I'll be paying off some of my debt...although I would love an exhaust system for the Taco.

Yup, some people don't give a rats ass about the facts...do what you want, no one will stand in the way. Key there is "current" which is being changed by appraisal resetting and dropping prices everyday. Buy now and it goes down further...duhhhh. Most ARMs reset in June of 2008 and still millions afterward. Foreclosures will still increase and devalue your property in the same neighborhood.

    I do this everyday...

But then again you wouldn't want anyone to interfere with your righteousness.

My tax refund will go into savings for an emergency fund (I'm a big Dave Ramsey fan into my middle age, I guess.).

I did get a small merit-based lump sum with this past paycheck, though, and I used part of that money yesterday to buy All Weather Mats for my Tacoma. Now bring on the snow, mud, pine straw, etc.
