A quick update on my contact with the vendors. I emailed both of them today telling them that we were at 32 being ordered. I heard back from one and their offer was 10% off, they would charge shipping if you purchase 1, but would provide free shipping if you purchase 2 or more. This would be done with a promo code that would expire in about a month.

The other vendor has not emailed me back yet. My initial contact with them indicated that they would provide a 15% discount for orders of 30 or more. I'm not sure if they realized that we would not have 1 combined order, so that may change what they are willing to do.

I also contacted 2 more vendors that sell the valves on ebay. I spoke to one and have not heard back from the other. The person I spoke with sounded like he's done this before for another forum. He does not have an ecommerce website set up, so we would have to use paypal, or call him and provide credit card info. He is working on a price for me, but it sounds like for the members wanting 1, it will be a little cheaper through him than the website offering the 10% discount.

ETA: The 2nd ebay vendor offered $2 off per valve, and free shipping on orders of 2 or more. This would not be as good as the 10% discount.

2nd edit. Here's the email from the ebay vendor I spoke with on the phone:

As per our conversation I am sending you pricing for a group buy on Fumoto oil drain valves. This pricing is for any members of your group shipped to individual locations in the continental US. Shipping First class mail is included in the price. If you need pricing for other areas please have the members contact me that need it. I think the best was is for your members to email me their orders and I can send them a PayPal invoice once I have their email and order. I can also offer your members a 6 month trial AMSOIL Preferred Customer membership ($10 value) for those that may be interested in it. Here is a link to my website to get more info on the PC membership http://www.1st-synthetics.com/info/preferred.html

    series valves (F-103, F-106 ect) $24
    N series valves (F103N, F106N, F107N ect) $26

MI residents please add 6% sales tax

Thanks for pulling this together. Any idea on which one you're thinking you'll go with? I'm partial to the promo code, but then again I am ordering 2 which would be free shipping.

Finally heard back from the other vendor. They have set up a promo code for 15% off, but they do not off free shipping on any quantities. Here's a summary of what is currently available.

Offer 1: contact scott@sps-hv.com and let him know you are part of the tacoma world group buy. His price is $24 for the regular valves, and $26 for the valves with the nipple. This price includes shipping and a 6 month trial AMSOIL Preferred Customer membership ($10 value).

Offer 2: www.qwikvalve.com 10% off with promo code tacoma10. They offer free shipping if you purchase more than 1 valve. ($21.56 regular valve & $24.26 w/nipple). Limited to 1 coupon code per individual, and 100 max customers and expires on May 18. You will need to register for an account before the code will work.

Offer 3: http://www.quickoildrainvalve.com 15% off with promo code TAC4. They charge shipping on all orders and did not mention any time or order limits. ($20.36 regular valve & $22.91 w/nipple)

Depending on where you live, shipping charges and the possibility of tax being added will determine which offer is best for you. Let me know if you have any questions.

Quick & easy payment processing instead of having to send an email somebody and wait X amount of time for a response, plus I have no need/interest for the Amsoil membership. 90% though was ease and instant gratification.

Sounds good. I have no affiliation with any of them. I'm ordering 3, so the 10% off with free shipping is the best option for me.

I got the following email from Scott of Offer #1 this morning:

For your members that want more than 1 valve I can offer $1 off each additional valve. I had one of you Canadian members contact me and it looks like shipping to Canada will be $+1.70

Also, for those of you who were worried about how long it would take with offer 1, I emailed him at 9:07 this morning and in less than an hour I had my USPS tracking number.
