Hello!?!?!?! Anyone still out there?? Well had a kinda interesting day at work. I sold some brake shoes to a band called DARASUUM to go on their van. There a band out of California and are down here doing a show. Just checked out some of their music and well its pretty awesome if you like kinda moderately heavy rock.

Anybody have any experience with Southern offroad in Pelham? Due to a lack of time off work and the closest place I have to do it being two hours away I'm considering letting them do my sas. I would prefer to do it myself but it would take me six months trying to do it with one to two days a month off. Damn work..... Anybody had any custom work done there? They want me to bring my axels and truck there drop them off for two to three days then charge me for an estimate that might or might not be close to the actual price.....wth?

I've never had and custom work, or any work done there. Though, i have purchased a few items there and they always appear to be working on one truck or another. I went there to get an alignment once, and was told that i would take a week or so do to their waiting list. I guess they are a busy company..

Any company that does an SAS for you is going to charge you an arm and a leg....and possibly your left or right testicle.

They did an alignment for me when the dealer f'd my truck up. (dealer broke the eccentric adjustment tabs on the frame)

Work looked good, welds looked nice, they actually understood that they should remove the LCA and bushing before welding the on frame so as not to melt the bushing. (you'd be surprised what folks will do with a torch w/o thinking) The guys down there sent me pics of the broken stuff before they started work, and they were good about communicating with me about the status of the repair, etc. I'd be comfortable asking them to do major work on my truck.

Yeah, definitely check those guys out. They run a pretty long backlog, but supposedly (I say that only b/c I've got no experience with them personally) they do top notch work.

I did that before and got the 7 inch off road lights for free. They are probably the worst quality I've ever seen.

    Head unit. That's it.
I called and had them quote a lift and wheels and tires...their quote at Southern off road was on par until I realized they forgot to quote tires....pretty high actually. Especially for a spacer lift and some ultra wheels. I figured I'd go elsewhere and in doing so, for about $200 more I got the wheels I truly wanted and coil overs instead of spacers. They seem very nice, and willing to help.

Mostly depends on what you are looking for. I have been a 4x4 specialist for GM for over 20 years, as well as ASE certified master tech for just as long. What are you needing done?
