I'm torn on whether or not I should take my camper shell off.
Pros: Looks different, covered & locking storage area, and it has a roof rack that I could use in the future
Cons: Lack of access to stuff in bed and restricts visibility.

Opinions/Suggestions? Robert, which do you prefer?

I took mine off in Friday and to be honest I actually like the look of my truck with it on a lot better than without it. Right now I have a tonneau cover on and it looks good too but not as good as the shell.

My pros: I can see out the back window better now.
I am able to was the bed rails and behind the cab, which was really
    Dirty.
Less weight, going to see how much it changes my gas mileage.

My Cons: it looks cool having the shell, and really sets apart your truck from other tacomas IMHO.
You have to store it, and probably retake the shell when you put it back on.
Unless you get something to cover the bed, ie tonneau, you no longer have that storage available in the bed.

I think for a little while if you want to take the shell off you should, it's not going to hurt anything If you do, then you may decide you like it better with the shell on or not.

If you ever need to borrow the spacers let me know. They fit on our trailer which is pretty narrow and my dad has pretty big backspacing on his wheels.

Nope it was really just remove and replace, rear drums are alot bigger though, it's close on 15" rims.

Bigger drums should give you better braking. The axle seal isn't hard to replace though; I would not swap an entire axle because of one.

He might as well since he is doing all new suspension and the IFS axle is a nice upgrade in width.

Width? Who needs width... all it does is give you stability and reach. :D

There is a mobile company that comes out to our headquarters all the time, they do a really good job, I'll find the name for you.

I'm playing in a charity golf tournament this afternoon and I have no idea what the cause is, or even the name of it.

:woot: Free golf for presumably a good cause.
