Diablo III in Beta.

The Diablo series is the only RPG game I ever played and I love them! I haven't played in probably 6-7 years but I will definitely be getting in on this. Looks like I'll have to buy a new computer though...

 

I beat it in like 2 hours. I WANT MORE.

 

I been waiting for this goddamn game for about 3 years back when they rumored it... I beta'd WoW back in the day before its release, and would have to say that wow was fun until the first expansion, when it meant you have to memorize the game in order to get invited to groups....

D3 beta is a blast tho, played monk, and witch doctor, was hoping to get home in the morning and play something else, but i think they bring it offline sometime in the morning, dont they? wasnt it just a weekend deal?

 

The open beta closes sometime in the morning. Unless blizzard feels generous, of course. I think the closed beta will continue for a little while longer though, but if you're unlucky (like me) and didn't get an invite to the beta...then your D3 testing is over.

 

Alas,my poor old PC won't run it..

 

That sucks indeed. What's holding you back? Video card?

 

Oh..probably the whole damn rig...lol. I've had this thing for 9 or 10 years. It runs everything but newer games and HD video just fine. It's a Pentium 4 2.53 gig processor with 2 gigs of ram and an Nvidia GT9400 1gig video card. I installed the beta and it said it was below minimum requirements..oh well ! I don't game much anymore,but I loved the Diablo series. I'll get a new PC eventually and pick D3 up when it's cheaper I guess.

 

When is the actual game supposed to be released?

 

Atm it is May 15th. But this is Blizzard so dates can change for the smallest reason.

FWIW I'm running a GTS 250 that I bought from someone on here for 50 bucks. It runs it full settings on 1080 resolution very smoothly. Oh and I'm running at 8x because I forgot to put my VGA switch card in.

This game is a bit different. I don't like how everyone is the same right now... I imagine it will be a bit different when you get to higher levels but the lack of hot keying kinda sucks.

 

I played the hell out of DII.

I wish I had a computer that would run this

 

For as smooth as it runs on my new computer with a junk card... I'm pretty sure any decent card within the past 5 years could play it.

 

Is Diablo 3 doing to be like wow were you have to pay monthly or annually to play online?

I will admit I got sucked into WoW but I was a Diablo Fan long before WoW came out and I have often looked back and wished I was playing Diablo II again. In fact I quit playing wow after the I Leveled through the second expansion pack. I bought the third expansion and played it twice for an hour each and then never played it again. This is going to be a must have. Good thing I just replaced my computer with an Intel Core i7 2600 3.4 GHz, Windows 7 Prof 64 Bit, 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, 8GB DDR3, and a 32 inch 1080p LED TV for a monitor.
