    Hey everyone,

I am looking for a spot to take some photos of girls with guns for the 2013 calendar. I'm looking for some spots that have run down buildings/cars/trains/etc.. Anything that isn't just plain ol' desert backgrounds.

The spot would have to be 2x4 friendly and not very populated as I will be bringing loads of guns and hoping to shoot some while I'm out there.

    Suggestions?

I know there's some cool ghost towns up in the Bradshaws, not sure if pre-runner friendly though. There is a spot near Box Canyon you could get to that's pretty sweet though, lemme dig up a pic

It's not a huge area but, kinda nifty.

Also if you can find the owner of the building on Mill in Tempe that'd be pretty sweet too. There's an old abandoned ghost town off I-10 heading down toward Tucson near the Avra Valley exit that you can probably get into also.

@Colby.. these are the towns I'm talking about. ^^ It's where I grew up.

@Jake.. hqve you been up there. That whole area was my backyard for 18 years. Lol. My hometown is one of those ghost towns and there are tons of abandoned mines that are fun to explore. All the other ghost towns are within a 10 miles radius. I love taking up as many TW friends as I can to show them around. Lots of trails, mines, ghost towns, places to shoot, hike, etc.

@Josh: Ok I have been looking at pic's and it does seem that it will be a good location for pictures. Looks like you are going to be the guide, I'll buy a large tow strap tomorrow incase I get my 2wheel drive ass stuck somewhere. I have a habit of getting stuck. :)

@Jake, I like that windmill and will keep that in mind for future reference. That would be an really good for photos during sundown. With or without guns.

I can't advise doing this in a PreRunner at all now especially a stock height on OEM tires. Its gotten alot worse over the past few years and without a 4x4 there to assist it will be next to impassable.

Looks like an cool place to take pics!

And thanks for the heads up SDHQ. I'm running a bone stock pre-runner so I'll take your advice a stay away from this location till I get a 4x4.

Been up there a bunch of times, and its an awesome site with great history! If you ever get the chance to get up there I highly recommend it. Cliff recorded the trail on his GoPro awhile back, I'll try to dig up the link.

That does look like a fun trail, but not pre-runner friendly. Some spots just seems to be a little much for a stock 2x4 taco.

Sucks too because I was looking at this nice 1st gen in San Diego that had a lot of nice after market parts and was 4x4, but decided that we are getting the wife a WRX Sti Wagon instead. :(
