I finally got one.

I have been eyeing the 2nd gen. Tacoma since it was introduced. I knew I had to have it one day. That day has come. I just purchased my first Tacoma, 05 double cab prerunner with the diff lock. It only has 45,000 miles on it. I'm a cheap bastard and Toyotas are very expensive. I could never afford a new one so I knew if I could be patient, I would eventually find one. So after almost three years without a vehicle (I had to wait until the wife got home from work to go anywhere), I picked one up. The individual who owned it before just put on the KYB gas-a-just suspension all around and put new tires on it. She said she got the advise from some folks on this forum. Now it's time to see if the Tacomas reputation for reliability is true. I keep my vehicles. The wife has an 04 Honda Accord with 120,000 miles on it and never had any issues. Hopefully, it's just broken in. I will not put anything near that on the Tacoma but I expect to have it for a long time. Those Japanese can manufacture a vehicle.

Okay... Nothing really special that stands out so she's basically stock with a tonneau cover.

Good point Devil. When most people ask to see pics of something, they usually want to see something that makes it different than other Tacos. You're absolutely right though. This is the truck that I have been waiting for since 2005. She's special to me....
