I've got a 2007 with just under 70k miles and just swapped pads and rotors. They weren't squeeling yet but they were pretty worn down. The rotors could have been turned and reused but for a little more it was easier to just buy new. Seems like the guys with newer models are running through pads in about 1/2 the time.

I share the same philosophy. There used to be a time when I would religiously change pads proactively to extend life of rotors, but at $100 something a pop for rotors these days, much easier to just ride it till its all done and change rotors/pads together.

I only got about 60,000 out of my front pads, but there were some runs with a heavily loaded trailer in there. Dealer did it, so I don't remember if they replaced or resurfaced the rotors.

I got just over 50k on my stock pads before I changed them. They were getting pretty close too. I am in SoCal though, and I drive in rush hour everyday.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Coming up on 45K with the original pads and rotors. Feels like day one. Goes in Thursday for scheduled service so we'll see what they say then.

I put about 130K on the brakes on my '07 DCSB 4x4 sport. When I got my new truck I got a new set of tires and had the shop do the brakes on my '07 for my son. The fronts weren't squealing but were getting close. The mechanic that did the work called me back to look at my rear brake pads, said he didn't feel right changing anything as they just weren't worn. He cleaned, adjusted and re-assembled - they're still on there, my son's driving the '07....

93k on my 05 and no problems on stock pads. It also depends if you have a manual and downshift (like I do) or an automatic.
