Just got my Mr Marv 10" single driver box installed in my DC. It sounds amazing!

I want to give a shout to Mr Marv and his team for building a great sounding box. I really didn't think a single 10" driver in DC would be that big of a difference. WOW was I wrong!

Anyone that is thinking about doing an enclosure in their truck go through MR Marv. He was a great person to deal with and makes an awsome product. I would go to him again in a heartbeat!

Thanks Mr Marv! One happy customer here!

A single 8 or 10 will provide a lot more bass than most people think, especially with a quality driver, in a box designed properly.

    Enjoy!

Very cool! I was going to go with the JL 13TW5-3 at first. But I wanted to keep all my drivers and amplification Alpine.

I say that I am glad I went with only (1) sub driver. I think (2) would be too much. I listen to mostly rock music and I am finding myself turning the sub down at times.

Marv builds a kick ass box!

Good luck with your build!

What amp and how many watts rms do you have? How do you think the 12" alpine would sound over the 10"? I am looking at building sytem for my wifes 2012 and was thinking of using a 12" sub in a custom box behind the pasenger side rear seat. I am looking at using the flat subs from alpine or the mm series from polk audio. The polk audio mm series have great reviews and are about half the price.

I have the MRX-V60 Amp- It's rated at 50watts (X4) then 200watts (X1). Then SPR-60C in the front doors and SPR-60's in the rear doors.

I need to tune the system a little better. I have the gains on the amp set pretty low. But I think with just a little tuning it will be even better.

I think the 12" would be great too. Mine sits on the passenger side behind the rear seat. I think brand wise as long as you go with something major you should be good. I personally have gone through the Rockford and JL on other vehicles. I ended with Alpine to change it up a little. Plus there were sales going on. That always helps.

Like you are doing read reviews.. The R series subs from Alpine get great reviews. Plus you can throw ungodly amounts of power to them. 600 watts RMS 1800 Peak.

You pop the plastic back off (Cubby area) and then cut or Dremel the cubby area out. In the pic you can see on the left side I cut too high. Learning curve with the Dremel. I could have left it with out the plastic, but I wanted it to look sorta stock.

The Box fits perfectly. I had to loosen the back seats to get it too fit with the sub installed. It's that tight and precise.

It's an easy install. Figuring out how to remove the cubby area was a PITA.

Cool!Sorry for the stupid question but was you able to tighten the seats back?and did you have to flatten the 10mm bolt brackets that held the plastic cubby in to make the sub flush against the wall??

I got one of his earlier boxes, had to take out the back wall.... still one of the best sounding boxes I have ever had! My little 10 blows alotta systems out of the water.

No problem at all. There are (3) Bolts that hold the passenger side cubby in. I had to loose the middle one (due to trimming).

Everything else went back into place perfectly. I also had to cut the bottom of the cubby too. The seats went back to their stock location. It's a supper tight fit, but that box is not moving any where.
