Well I gave it almost a week to see if my complacency would overwhelm my desire to change the shifter boots to black.

I just couldn't bear the contrast of the blue/gray versus the black so I am dyeing my shifter boots black:

    Low budget spray booth:

    photo-32_ef8016b547fa4e496d9aaae1ee8345668edd3682.jpg

After 4 light coats of flat black vinyl/fabric dye:

    photo-33_806621c08c59f5931668d81b4eef3f0b8ce7e4a1.jpg

Gonna let it dry for a couple of days in the garage (the friggen cottonwood is flying right now... like it's snowing out) before I put it to use in the truck. Just want to make sure it's all well and cured before I put its flexibility to the test

easy, its 6 screws and four little button things. Pops right out....and you have to remove the wiper arms of course.

I painted those too..waiting for them to dry and I will get a picture of it all back together.

I was looking at mine the other day...

...but it seems like you take the wipers off, then just remove four screws.

I'll let TacoMX speak to it though

    edit: nvm

the chances of that thing flexing enough to touch the cab or any other body panel is remote. maybe if he hits a tree and it bends it back and then it flings forward, it might get close. it looks to have a rubber coating and that wont do anything to the body except scuff it and you can use your fingernail to remove that

I bet that would be a great help on the fender flares that tend to fade as well!

    Kinda cool.

    A little imbalanced IMO.

I'd have gone with the sockmonkey retro hood stripes

And some of the brackets that are going to be used. Lower shock/link mount, I think they are Balistic? Damien mix matched between Balistic and Ruff Stuff.
