Damn I miss Dish.....crappy cable TV.
Chain lube. WL wax stuff or whatever is lying around. Just keep moist and degrease periodically.

    Yeah.
Chain Lube: Frank's Red Hot. I use that shit on everything. OK, not really, I mostly use Tri-Flow. I clean regularly anyway, I hate a noisy drivetrain. When it gets really dry and dusty, I use Boeshield T-9.

Here's a picture of my actual EX9, a little dirty but not too bad.

    NICE BIKE! ;)

I had those tires on mine and was always getting flats. I bought some Kenda Nevegals and have only gotten a flat once since buying them. I have gone through the same places with both tires, and through much more rocky terrain on the Kendas and they are freakin' awesome!

Trying to decide, RockShox Reverb or CrankBros Kronolog...Fox DOSS seems overpriced. Like the static position of the CB line, vs than it going up and down on other posts.

Just got back from my first ride on it. I am blown away how well a 6 inch travel bike can climb. Such a fun bike. I almost went with the Stumpjumper, but the guy at the bike shop talked me into getting the Enduro. I was worried it wouldn't be able to climb like my old 5 inch travel bike. It climbed almost as well, but felt really smooth and stable and a lot faster on the downhill. I'll be putting a ton of miles on this thing.

One thing I found out about my newly purchased Reverb was that the lever has a barb that protrudes into the hose about 3/8 of an inch. The barb is what keeps the hydraulic hose connected and there is no strain relief. One minor problem-if that hose gets hit or maybe grabbed by a Manzanita bush, it's coming off and you'll need a new one (~$20) and you'll need to bleed the system (oh, and the post doesn't work either).

It might be the best drop post on the market but damn, that is a piss poor design (unless your goal is to sell barbs).

    Yeah.
Thanks, I love it. I rode my Sawyer in the mud today and had a blast.

The Fuel came with XR3's on it, which pretty much sucked for this area. I like the Maxxis Ignitors and the Nevegals, but nobody had them locally so I went with the XR4's TLR's they had in stock. They have since changed the tread pattern to more closely match the Nevegal pattern, and the 2.2 width I bought is as wide as a Nevegal 2.35, so I am not sure which ones you had or how much they have changed. When I put these on I also switched to tubeless, so I can't say how they would do with tubes, but I am impressed with them. I am 200lbs with gear and run them at 32psi, great grip, no flats or burping. I made 3 hard passes down a gnarly run that would have pinch-flatted anything less than 40psi with tubes.

That said, I will probably go with tubeless Nevegals next time around anyway, they are my favorite all-around tire for the terrain around here. Unless I can get the Ignitors on sale, anyway.

BTW, I will be down at SPI in May for a beach vacation, but my Taco will stay at home.

Rode a 10 mile "beginners" trail yesterday. 6.5 miles of climb and 3.5 miles down. I made it up with just a little difficulty but I am in pretty good shape. The problem is when I start to fatigue my balance goes south. Needless to say the trail down was full of root steps and rocks. I wrecked and broke the shifter for my rear derailleur.

Nice. What forks are those? The Drop Off Triple's or the 888's?

Thank goodness Brent cleared that up for us.
