I am not saying to stop buying gas.Avoid the big players and purchase from small indys. If we buy less from the major suppliers their profits drop, noumber of purchasers drop. So to get the customers back they in turn have to drop their prices.

Its seemingly leveled off around here. Gas has been $3.89 for the past three weeks or so. Ranges from around $3.85-$4.03 depending on the part of town.

Krapp22, you are right. I have been doing this for a least a month, and feel good about it. May 1 is is a starting point, defenitely maintain this till we see results..I am fed up of people that complain and complain again and then say it wont change anything .

I would be gettin the boat out and filling it up at that point.
Edit: My boat will hold 200 gallons so that's $80 to fill up which is about $20 less than what it is now so that's 10 for the price of one. The Key West will take somewhere around 80 gallons so another 4 tanks.

I gas up about every 5 weeks, i'm boycotting all the time by making choices that reduce my need for gas.

Or I'm just a cheapskate that hates wasting time commuting.

The laughing was at the idea of boycotting...an Idea that you apparently agree with.

So why the hostility toward me?

I'm a hypocrite and a dick for laughing? I'm an azzhole for not explaining what has already been explained? (your assertion)

Actually, the issue is quite complicated and not many, self included...can fully understand all the complexities involved. So, I chose to keep it simple with a one-liner and a laugh.

Show me the hypocrisy in my post. Show me where I've preached.

Yes I made several posts in the religion thread, opinions...like others. but I'm no preacher. And you will note I've been respectful of others in that thread as well as other threads.

Matter of fact...I have been respectful to every member on this forum, even those who I may have a different opinion or perspective on a particular subject. I have never cursed or called a member a foul name...or called one an "azzhole" or "dick". Yes, I've had a little fun with a few posts, but never with malicious intent...and always tongue-in-cheek.

If you want to be "consistently a dik" (your words), that is your choice. Personally, I would hope I have a level of maturity and respect for others not to do so.

Finally, If I have offended any member in this thread (or any thread for that matter)...someone please PM me and I will gladly make the necessary edit.
    Thank you.
