I can't seem to siphon gas out of my Tacoma, 2009, . Is there a screen which prevents putting a hose into the tank?

You can't siphon gas out of our tanks. There's an anti-siphon device inside the filler tube.

I wish that my 81 Malibu Classic had one. If gas prices were to skyrocket then my Chevy would have been the first to get hit lol. I'm glad that there is something there to where someone can't get my gas, well unless they wanna destroy my gas tank to get at it.

Debadged. ARE Topper. Tailgate mods, including locking handle. BAMF LCA skids.
So that's why my 2012 doesn't have a locking gas cap or door.

I don't think that's the reason....and from what I've read around here the locking gas cap you can buy isn't all that good.

People can still get to your gas tank. Just take a screwdriver and stab it.

At the dealer, we disconnect the fuel line in the engine bay and use our special computer to activate the fuel pump. Is there a reason you need to syphone your tank?

There is never a good reason to siphon gasoline with a garden hose & your mouth as the pump. Aspirating liquid gasoline into the lungs can cause chemical pneumonia resulting in serious (is there any other kind?) lung damage! The 2nd Gen Tacoma's have a screen at the bottom of the filler tube so you can't use a hand pump either.
