    At the next meet I'd love it if someone could help me with my CB set up. I don't think people can here me and I seem to only pick up people right on top of me. I have a 4ft antenna so I should have a good signal. Maybe I did the ground wrong?

    that almost sounds like an insufficient ground. even a poorly tuned antenna will go a good 18-1/4 of a mile. also check your coax for anything wrong with it, like kinks or burns from contacting your exhaust

    You might double check that you even need it grounded. I was having a problem hearing anyone, then i added a rubber washer/grommet thingy between my spring and mount and picked people up pretty quick, just not sure if its working 100% right yet or not.

    I'm thinking i might buy this grill and have my body shop paint the surround SWB, maybe the mesh too??? Then i spend less than the cost of a new grill and dont have to worry about redoing the satoshi.

    Mike, sure thing man. I would love to finally be able to use it to see if it even works, lol. I was listening to truckers on the interstate on the way up to NY but I didn't have a real gauge on distance, it was hard enough trying to decypher their conversations into plain english.
