I went to Best Buy and bought the mounting kit, only to get it home and prep it, then got in the truck and realized I didnt need the install kit at all. I wasnt liking the install kit anyway, as it would do away with the below radio cubby hole. So, I just took both side brackets off of the stock radio and bolted them up to each side of my Eclipse head unit, and then screwed the factory cubby hole back into the stock brackets I re-used, and bingo! fits great and I get to keep the cubby hole... now Im wondering why there is an install kit for my truck when clearly its not needed, and its actually better to not use one to retain the cubby hole.
