Thinking about heading to this with my dad since he loves racing of any kind. Is it usually extremely crowded?

Alright well this is the first race of the season so there's no way of knowing how crowded it will be but there's usually a good turnout. I'll be posted up with a chair in my truckbed following the turn after the finish line.

well i didn't see you guys out there. Race was canceled on saturday due to a muddy track that 4wd jeeps couldn't even drive on but it dried up quickly for sunday's race.

Only decent pic that my lady got which still sucks.

Made it out for the 2nd half of the day. Took the brother and his kid out. We sat over in those bleachers by the announcement booth on the far side of that pic. Was pretty cool day watchin the races and playin at the 4x4 park, thought it was gonna be a little more intense tho tbh but it was still fun.
    Didnt snag any pics tho

Yeah its usually 20 times larger. It was quite disapointing... They used to have trophy cart races, quads, and way more trucks... The vorra circuit seems to be slowly dying, very sad.
I was going to go to the yerrington NV race next month for memorial day weekend to prerun the course on my bike and maybe in the truck but if its as small as this then most likely do plan B which is mule days in bishop.

Damn, I need to check this section more often. That would have been fun to go to, but I was stuck working anyway. I'm sad to hear VORRA is getting smaller. Hell, it's been around for over 30 years. The orignal owner, Ed, is a family friend. My dad designed the VORRA logo and used to design the race shirts. I miss going to those races out in the desert.

Ok so it wasnt just me then. When all I saw was the turtles and the 'home-grown' trucks I was sort of let down. it was cool to check out for a few hours, but by their page I was expecting more along the lines of what you mentioned there. Oh well, nbd.
I'll be looking into more races to check out...but I think im doin Moab memoral weekend :D
