Really wish I could have made it out for this, looked like a wicked time. I may have to mod my truck a bit more to be able to do some of the stuff you guys were doing. I only have billy's all around set to 2.5 in front and nothing in the rear but tsb. 285 75 16 bfg ko's

The trail wasent actually too tough. Most of the video and photos were taken at V-Rock something only a couple guys did. If a 2wd can make it -with a little help-, your truck will have no problems. There was a totaly stock new 4runner that came out too, handled great.

ummm so i put those pics up expecting the truck was mine, i paid the guy 3/4 of the money for it and said id give him the rest on monday so we could go to the insurance place near his house. i show up today ready to drive my new taco home and he informs me he doesn't want to sell anymore and hands me back my money, without even saying sorry or anything like that... sorry for jumping the gun and posting those pics tho. but i will be a member here cuz I'm not buying anything other then a tacoma so I'm heading to toyota 2morro haha

 

Brutal! Some guys just can't let go of their Tacoma's....can't blame them though! Ha. Wasn't meant to be but I'll bet you'll stumble onto something much better. Good luck.

Is there much on the used market though? I know the
2nd gens aren't that plentiful.

 

haha ok thanks lol, umm not a huge used market for 1st or 2nd gens.but i have seen a lot more used 2nd gens then 1st so Im looking for a 2nd gen instead now haha

 

Those 1st gen double cabs aren't easy to find with 4wd, low kms and good price/condition... That's "one" of the reasons why I ended up with 2nd gen.

 

The guys wife called me last night and said its for sale again and I have first choice lol. Someone got in trouble haha. Might not have to change my name

I talked to a admin at CT4wd. Looks like they're going to come out in June to do some runs and training. I think it would be cool to get a actual regular coffee meet set up for all the local CT/Tacoma world guys. Then we can get some offical trail days and trips set up too.

 

Strongly agreed. Very disappointed that I missed the last one. Mind you, California was awesome too.
