    So replacing the heads would not be an easier option? Soooo crate motor it is?

    It turns over pretty normal. Almost like its going to start.

    Im not sure what kind of engine it is either. All i know is its a 2.8 V6. Its either the 12V or 24V, again not sureee

    I'd check it out before you buy an engine. you might be able to get away with resleaving the cylinders and shaving the heads to make them flat if they are warped.

    it's the same engine audi uses in the A4 and A6 but transvers FWD instead of longitudinally mounted. for the quattro it should be a 24v
