    Actually I have been watching " Meat Men" (the show on either Food Network or Cooking Channel about the butcher shop) and I have been thinking about making a good blend of meats for 1. Chili 2. Meatballs 3. Meat sauce (bolognese) and 4. Hamburger. All gourmet of course. I have already dabbled in the past with chili and meat sauce but I think a hamburger would be awesome!!! That is a good show in case you havent seen it yet.

    The ribs came out good, I thought they were going to be a little more tender but they were just right. I couldnt cook them any lower thats for sure....

    Here's the recipe for chili I use....sorry it might be long.....

    Turkey Chili w/black beans and sweet peppers (its good even tho its turkey trust me)

    Serves 6

    Ingredients:
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 large red onion,chopped
    1 lb ground turkey
    4 cloves garlic,minced
    1 tsp each : dried oregano,salt
    1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
    28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
    2 tsps chopped canned chipotles in adobo sauce
    12 oz beer (I use a good red beer like Killians)
    14 oz can black beans
    1 red,1 yellow pepper chopped
    1/2 cup chopped cilantro

    Method: 1. Heat oil in large skillet. Add Onion;cook over high heat, stirring until lightly browned. Add turkey & garlic. Cook over high heat breaking up turkey with spoon until almost cooked through (3 minutes or so).

    2. Add oregano,salt&pepper cook 1 min. Add tomatoes,chipotles, and beer. Stir and cover. Turn heat to medium/low; cook, stirring occasionally for around 15 minutes. Add beans with their liquid and bell peppers. Cook, uncovered for 10 minutes. Taste for seasoning, stir in cilantro.

    It is a simple and quick recipe and I like to make it the day before. It's super colorful and full of different textures...and don't tell anyone but it's actually good for you. Let me know if you make it....

    At least double the recipe, that way you have leftovers. If you want make it the day before...... tastes even better. How many guys you cooking it for??? If its anywhere near 6 just double it....
