Clean throttle body

I searched around and couldnt find any threads but how do you clean your throttle body? Hoping someone will make a DIY or tell me how so I can

 

I used to be a mechanic and we used to just take off the air filter tube from the throttle body and while it is running spray in some carb cleaner... lot of carbon would burn outta the intake and worked pretty well

 

i usually just take the hose off the tb while the motor is off. then,i'll spray seafoam deep creep all thru the tb, and open the butterfly and spray more....clean with a tooth brush, then spray more until its all shiny inside. hook everything back up, then crank the truck. you'll have to crank it for a minute to get it to fire, then it'll puff a bit of smoke and you'll be set.

 

thanks both of you! I bought a gallon of sea foam a bit ago would it be any different to spray that in through a windex type bottle?

 

I donno... have never used seafoam....

 

i wouldnt do it that way. regular seafoam is a lil different than the deep creep. get a can of the deep creep specifically for the tb, and use the rest for the gas tank. use about 16 ounces per oil change.
