Go with wheel spacers, like spidertraxx as others have suggested. I had the same problem when I put 265/75/16 BFG A/Ts on my stock truck. I have pictures of the frame rub from 2008 :p

Lifting won't help if your rubbing on the frame. But if you get offer wheels it may rub on the fender like mine does then that where a lift is needed correct me if I'm wrong

what I was thinking as well. Im interested in doing some stuff when i save up the money... Doesnt come easy when your 16 in IB and play two sports. Theres no job with a flexible enough schedual that will actually make money.

Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
the 2001 dcab sits slightly lower than the xcab and reg cab, so a 1.5 inch or bigger spacer lift will eliminate the frame rub when running 265-75-16 on the stock wheels...

the wheel spacer will help keep the tire away from the upper control arm and frame, but at stock height, you will end up rubbing on the pinch weld and/or front bumper valance, and if you have the stock sidesteps, it will rub on those as well...

if you can invest more into your truck, try the suspension lift first and if still having issues, then try a 1/4" wheel spacer...

or do the suspension lift, and get into a wheel with 4.25" backspace...

When you say a 1.5 inch or bigger spacer lift do you mean like adding the shocks that would give me that lift or are you refering to something else??

    coil spacer lift...

    toytec or revtek lift...

they are relatively dirt cheap but the performance is relative to that price point...

if you are into wheeling, adjustable coilovers like King, SAW, or Icon would be your best bet, and TW vendor DownSouth Motorsports can help you with that...

How do your front coils look? When I put wheel spacers on the frame rub stopped but I rubbed on the inner part of the fenderwell and fender flares. My coils were shot so I needed a new suspension so decided to get a suspensions lift instead of a stock height setup. :D The new lift eliminated rubbing with 265/75/16s
