The drip molding that fills in the ditches on the roof where the roof rack mounts. People have had problems with losing the drip molding on the freeway cuz it is only glued on, so I both glued it and put a screw through it. I'm in classes and work pretty much all day today or I would take better pics for you to see, but basically that is looking straight down at the front of the roof and you can kind of see the windshield in each pic.

Do you think it was a wise decision to put giant screws through the roof of your truck?

The screws are 1.5" long and the molding is almost an inch thick so they didn't go in very deep, plus I siliconed the shit out of the area around the screws so hopefully it won't leak. I think it is a better alternative to losing one of those moldings. They are over $70 a piece:eek: The screws are a pretty sure fire way to make sure it stays attached.

It was so ugly though... and I now have better aerodynamics which = more speed:burnrubber: haha kidding, kidding:D

But seriously, I thought it was ugly. I did the day I bought it. It is almost kind of weird to see it off, but at the same time I smile when i see it without it cuz I think it looks so much better:D Plus I had zero use for it. I will just sell it to someone who could actually use it now.

Hey guys. Anyone know the name of, well its like a extending "arm". Adam i think you once told me it was an actuator? That seems kinda right but I cant find what I'm looking for. It would be controlled by a switch that can extend out to push something to a certain position, then retract back in to bring it back down.

Pretty sure actuator was what he called it. Didn't this come up when talking about roof lights?

EDIT: Linear actuator? Like this only I assume outside of the cab. http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/sh...ly-actuated-lightbar-setup?highlight=Lightbar

Yea, i had an idea for something and would use to lift the lights up, also turns out some guys building an offroad buggy for our school needed help on it so I am helping them design some stuff and that would come in handy for style points for them.
