None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
Perhaps this thread should be in with the O3-04 Taco's but I thought it was important and may effect 05-06 Taco's.

My neighbor got a recall on his mid year 03, come in an have the frame checked for rust, two plans of attack, they will scrape the rust off and treat the frame or if its worse(like my neighbor) and its rusted thru in places then they will take the truck and put a completely new frame-no charge.
The idiots in charge in the US and Japan, could have treated the frames from the get go, these folks never learn .......

I would suspect this eventually will effect 05-06's too. I will be going to my dealer and see if they would like to inspect it now instead of when its too late.

No more hammer tests on the 01-04. I had my 03 in for frame inspection and the work order had written in Red...NO HAMMER.
It failed anyway even after being treated in 09 by a Toyota dealer.
My new frame is came in today and they start work on it tomorrow. He said to stop by any time to see the progress as they take it apart. These guys have been great...

I feel the 2nd gens are going to be the same as well for those who live in humid and salt belt areas.

My 06 is horrible, it stains my driveway. There is literally a rectangle on my driveway where my truck parks.

There is not a spot on my frame that does not have rust, did they paint the frames or anything on the early 2nd gens??

I wrote to toyota last week and am waiting a reply. It will likely never some since they do not back their product anymore since they have so many issues.

I bought some high-end paint to work on the rust spots on the frame. I was going to repaint the whole frame (that I could get to), but man what a pain in the arse. Instead I'm just going to fix the bad spots and stay on top of it.
