A friend photoshopped a black rear bumper and emblems, what do you think? Trying to decide what direction to go, black or paint it body color?

    Or just leave it chrome?

Would love to see a pic of an Indigo painted bumper if anyone has one. Or if anyone's good at photoshop make mine blue. :)

looks better chrome. in my personal opinion.

if the bumper was indigo that would look good.

Thanks, I like that look a lot! Wish you could buy them color matched from Toyota like the grilles instead of having to paint them. I guess the chrome can be sanded and etched to accept paint, I'll have to ask my body shop guy.

No problem. Well there might be a few floating around on eBay, craigslist, TW etc. Yeah you can sand down the chrome and then OemPaint it. I would recommend letting your body shop doing it

Have been thinking about powdercoating it, my local shop will do a two stage coating for $150. Lot more durable than paint, but I do like the look of the body color bumper, think that would look sweet with blacked out emblems or remove the emblems and decals totally.

Both look good. If you still want them on but with out them being OUT THERE no problem with blacking them out.

But I think it looks naked with all removed

I blacked out the Tacoma on the doors today and sprayed the rear badges but I don't think I'm putting them back on. The tailgate looks pretty good without anything. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Hmmm...body color. Black looks kinda cheap and chrome is too chrome for me.

    Body color FTW!

Thanks for all your opinions, I appreciate the input.

    I think my choices rank:

    1. Body color with black emblems

    2. Chrome with chrome emblems

    3. Black with Black emblems
