Ok , I went by the dealer today to simply pick up some bulbs and they just got in a used 2012 trd sport and have 27999. on the window well less then 6 months ago I bought my 2010 tacoma sr5 4x4 and now just like my timing always sucks they have this one .. I have already planed on getting a locking diff , so my question is do i trade my 2010 to get a 2012 with the trd sport package? and if so what would be the major benefit ?

Do you need it? Will you be kicking yourself once the 2013 model comes out with it's changes? Can you afford it?

See what you can get for a trade on your '10. If you are in the black on a trade and your payments will stay close to the same, then it might be worth it. If you are upside down on your trade and the '12 will cost a lot more per month, then it is not worth it. It is essentially the same truck. You usually have to keep in mind that if the old truck is almost paid for and the new one will start a new 60 month term or so, then that's a big factor, but if you bought the '10 only six months ago, it's not that big a deal.

Couple ways: He already owns it, he didn't waste money on "trd" since most of the mods replace trd crap. And he doesnt say that the 2012 is 4x4, I assume it's not. His truck is 4x4 and he didn't waste money on the trd suspension.

Well seeing how we are assuming things , I assumed the OP would trade for another 4x4 , instead of trading from a 4x4 to a Prerunner

The OP assumed the Sport had a locker

I assume that you assumed that I didnt know that. I further assume that you are assuming that OP was only going to base the buy on the locker but im assuming your asumption is wrong as I assume the op also wants a 2012. ;) aswell as a locker.

No the 2012 is a 4x4 as well, I assume that he assumes that you assume (or some thing like that i lost track lol) the sr5 is a great truck and not wearth the paper work and I did some research and it gets the same mileage and I don't do any extreme off roading so sr5 is good once I add the locker... Or drive my other 4x4. Lol
