OK get this. Took off from north of Tulsa OK this morning on my way to Denver. First tank I spent 40 miles doing 55mph, 40 miles doing 65mph, 25 miles doing 70mph and 240 miles up I-35 and west on I-70 at 75 mph. Made it all the way to Russell KS, 345 miles on 15.7 Gallons! Yes the Low Fuel light was on when I stopped.

So I'm feelin' pretty good as I took off toward Denver when the wind came up. Hard from the southwest which gave me a 40 mph head/crosswind. I had to stop for gas in Limon at 275 miles and put in 15.9 Gallons. Blew my average all to hell.

OK you also have to figure in that from about Salina KS west it's pretty much all uphill to Denver. I started at about 900' ASL, Salina is 1224', Russell is 1862' ASL and Limon is 5377'. So it seems the wind and elevation gain killed my gas mileage.

    Still loving my Taco though!!

Russell, KS... isn't that the home of Bob Dole?

I only know this because I've stopped there on the way back to Colorado and ate at that dinner that is all about Bob Dole

    Lots of cruise control

When I started using cc as much as possible I saw a 2-3 mpg bump in my efficiency.

It's the best advice I can give anyone.

Plus I'm bone stock... and looking at your rig, you're not :)

I feel like i'm doing something wrong! I'm running a 265/75/16 tire on stock suspension always fill up with about a quarter tank left and i'm usually sitting at about 225 miles?? When I do the calculations i'm averaging between 18-20 mpg's so I'm pretty much babying the truck all the time.:help::notsure: I don't see how some of you guys are getting so many miles out of a tank, does everyone just run their's down to E??

That last tank of mine I ran down to E.... 15 gallon fill up.

At 3/4 of a tank I was at 290 miles, so I decided to see how much I could get out of it.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Damn you guys are getting some shitty mileage I get about 240 to 250 on about 15gal with super charger and I drive like a bat out of hell. I just installed the SC so it's only been a few tanks but that's what I'm getting as of now. I'm installing the 7th injector kit so that's going to effect the MPG's a little :D

Thats a major change lol. 1/3 of a mile for 300 miles = 100 miles. So you actually get 390 or 190?

So I have been trying to figure this out. On my 02 tha gas gauge the line between half and empty is that a quarter Or eighth of a tank the placement is misleading but I thought its a quarter cause I never had a car that didn't have a quarter mark. Thanks.

That's the 1/4 tank hash mark.
