Toyota Care towing question

How many miles does it include for towing? I have AutoClub but its getting expensive. Trying to cut back on the fees.

 

Check to see if it is listed in your welcome kit. I would assume that they would tow it to the nearest Toyota dealership.

 

I added towing to my insurance policy for a couple of bucks.
Another option.

 

I paid like $6 bucks to auto policy but it only tows a short distance.

I had an old honda passport before so that was the reason I got it (towing the jet ski to the river, etc). The AutoClub I paid is good for 200 miles

 

According to the dealer I bought mine from, it includes towing to the nearest Toyota dealership. I have not read the details in the paperwork though. Another option is to add AAA its only about $100/year and includes up to 4 calls for lockout, fuel, dead battery and towing up to 100 miles per event. I haven't had to use it on my vehicles in a few years but I have with old vehicles and friends vehicles I've been riding in and its well worth it.

 

I know in Massachusetts towing on your auto insurance policy is for accidents only, not breakdowns. And even then, they reimburse your out-of-pocket just up to a certain limit. It may vary by state. Anyone considering this should check with their agent before relying on this solely.

 

I have AAA. I paid $158 a year for Premium Membership (tows 200 miles). Trying to cut back the fees..

 

From my booklet-
Towing- a service provider will tow the vehicle to the closest Toyota dealership (or to the closest Toyota dealership of your choice if it's within 25 miles of the vehicle's location).

Welcome- Personally I canceled my auto club after receiving TCare.

 

I think the plus membership this year, at least in Colorado, was $107/year for the 100 mile plan. I know what you mean about trying to cut costs but I always have liked to have it just for that occasional emergency as a tow would cost more than the annual membership.
