Its something minor, but the warning labels covering the sun visors. Makes my truck like look a sodding carnival ride. Anyone know if they can be removed? They feel like an iron-on application so I know chances are slim.

Tailgate. Horrible POS, thin metal, rusted WAY to quick. Had to line-x the bottom panel to prevent anymore rust. Thats it:D

I hate the fact there is a huge aftermarket available for the Tacoma. It has put a strain on my wallet and marriage.

    Hit and miss.

I've seen a lot of threads on Toyota and GM forums where this has been attempted.
    Results are 10% 30% 60%

    10% looks good.
30% it worked but you can tell the label was there and the owners wished that they had not tried to remove them.
    60% fucked up.

want to buy a 2013 tacoma double cad 4x4 when i retire.. in 15 months... I just retire now i want the Tacoma BUT i want 8 way adjustable seats?
Whats with no stock heated seats, i want to buy a 2013 model in a few months... BUT i want the same options the tundra has to offer, and NO i do not want a fat over sized "tundra" I want a tacoma and i am willing to pay for it....
Heated, 8 way adjustable, leather seats, and a sun roof... I live in the bay area and the Toyota dealers in redwood city could careless. all they want to do is sell the freaking "Prius" .. the Burlingame dealers had some full loaded models , BUT could not give me a straight answer as to where i could, or how i could, get the options i wanted.
any appropriate suggestions would be well appreciated?
    thanks

It's that little button between the fan and heat controls ;)

The only time the AC compressor is not optional is when you have it on "Defrost"... the AC runs to dehumidify the air.

I've always liked the fact that my Toyotas have always had the separate AC switch. My GM vehicles, I was always stuck. I couldn't run the AC to the floor vents if it was hot and I needed AC, but my arms were chilled from the cold air blowing on them... or at my wife's age, the constant "I'm too hot/I'm too cold" issue when she wants heat and I want AC or vice-verse, where I could kick it to the floor, keeping it cool enough for me, and stopping the cold air flow that's causing her grief.

complaints on my 2010 tacoma 5 lug
the outboard front brake calipers suck for putting aftermarket wheels on

i dont like how my a/c clicks when its running

i dont like the shit quality of the shift boot and how it squeeks when i drive in 5th gear

the soggy suspension in the rear sucks

the cheap radio that keeps going out and the dealerships refusal to fix it bc my truck has too many miles

thats about it, everything else is tolerable

    I agree.

Which is why I went back and forth on "charcoal" or black for the replacement... bought both, will do charcoal (just a bit darker than the grey)

    Leather/plastic doesn't burn.

Black plastic burns. Black leather is warm.

Ok, i love my truck to death, but i wish the interior was simpler, there are a million damn cupholders. it pisses me off that the blank switches are scattered, instead of having one switch panel. nothing major. I love everything else about it! wouldnt trade it for anything!

    Now that you mention cupholders....

Yes... other than the simple things that should be standard but are not even available on an RC, much less on a base 5-lug...

The TWO cupholders that it has are worthless.
It's a big oval hole with a plastic insert.
The plastic insert has arms that ratchet out to hold the cup.
But any acceleration/turning/braking force on those arms causes them to fold up like they're made of paper.

I can't count that times I've had to pick my commuter cup up off of the passenger floor over by the door.
I won't put any open cup there unless I'm resting my hand on it.

What year is it? Toyota bought back my 2000 Taco because they were recalled due to frames rusting through. They bought it for 150% of retail value.

How thin the metal is at the bottom of the doors. It chips very easily. I was starting to get some rust (they do spread a lot of sand/salt on the roads during the winter). I decided to get my rocker panels and door panels line-xd. Best decision ever. Lifetime Warranty as well. It is an eighth of a inch thick, and goes from the bottom up about a sixth of the door.

The cup holders don't do a very great job of holding cups when turning. I have had some spills recently and decided to tweak them.

The stock fender flares is the last "issue" I had with my Tacoma. They were really faded, and had swirls. I am the second owner, but it looked worn out. I decided to get aftermarket flares, which seem to be holding up well for the 2nd year now.

I love my Tacoma, would never get rid of it.

The only thing so far I dislike are the power windows. It's 2012, at a minimum the two front should be automatic up and down. Ideally, all 4 windows in a double cab should be.
