    I've always had pretty strong legs though, did my first squat about 2 months ago, once I got my supporting muscles in shape I was squatting 225. My bench is still around the 200 mark though....

    On another note I'm seriously considering cutting even more and trying to do a show.

    Not too interested in competing but would be a cool challenge. I just did a Dexa last week and was at 241 9.5%.

    Still barely have abs visible though. Only in the morning after my workout when I'm dehydrated. Shit sucks..

    From what I understand, your body fat needs to be in the 3-4% range to compete.

    There are no set rules on bf% to be on stage. For BB I recommend. 4% or less. Men's physique nothing lower then 5-6%

    My plan for now is to go down to about 7% and stay that way all summer and then clean bulk about 15lbs in the fall and then cut to super low and enter in a show.

    Few questions. Is it better to do cardio before or after a workout? I am looking to just tone up. Maybe gain 5 or 10 pounds over the rest of the year.

    Also, any good lower ab excersises to tone that part up? A big problem was my diet but it's changing for the better. I am making progress on the upper abs. But lower seems so hard. For abs I do a couple crunch machines. Side bends. Planks with my legs on a medicine ball. Sometimes sit ups on the decline bench with a little weight.

    From what I've heard cardio after weights and your abs are the same muscle so when you do any ab/core workout you're working out the entire muscle so you've just gotta keep at it to get the lower one's to come out.

    So cardio before or after a weight lifting working doesn't matter? I want whatever is best to get the whole body more tone. Not just abs.

    Cardio after is much better. You're legs are the largest muscles in your body and if you drain them first during cardio before weights, you won't have enough energy to lift hard enough to get some serious gains.

    Try cardio in a kickboxing class or a plyometric fashion doing frog jumps or burpees to keep things interesting. Cardio via a stationary machine is BORING.

    For me, i'll alternate days I do cardio and weights. Lift heavy one day, next day take a kicking class, then a day off. It keeps me consistently going 4 days a week.

    Cardio post weight. The point of post weight cardio is to burn the remaining fatty acids floating around.

    For abs is mainly all diet. Sure u need to work them to get them to "pop" but doing a million crunches does not get them to show under layers of fat
