When did you know you had the one?

So I've been dating this girl for bout 3 years now and I've known I loved her for a while...but today I realized she's the one. How old were you when you found that special person, and was it like a light switch getting flicked on?

 

Well, anytime really. It's not an age thing it's just when you get that feeling and you just know.

 

i've been with the same girls for 6 years and we were standing in my kitchen once and i just zoned out on her and was like...yep...i'm going to make that mine sometime.

 

been dating my perfect girl for 3 and a half years now. i knew after the first year to year and a half that she was the one...but i'm a college student, so we'll be waiting till after college and getting decent jobs before taking the next step...

I am 21 and it was a just a realization that i could not live without her for the rest of my life. It really hit me about 9 months ago and that is when i started looking for a ring and proposed back in august. We are getting married 2 weeks after I graduate in may.

 

After a year, I'm 100% positive she's the one.

nah... about 3 months into dating, we just decided that we were going to get married. We just kinda knew. Been together for 5 years, married 2, and looking forward to the next 50.

I thought I had the one in College.. key word thought. If your in high school / college wait till after college. People change a lot in college.

 

Truth is most of you on here who have found "the one" and are either still in college or still in high school won't actually end up marrying that person...

shit happens... people change... etc. etc.

When you are finally out on your own and can maintain your own life, THEN start thinking of marriage... It's hard enough to take of yourself let alone somebody else.
