They still have to be somewhat true to the books. Now what happens when they want to continue and they are out of books...who knows.

It's great, I've read all of the books out for it except the last one. The show is following close enough .. don't get attached to anyone. but you all saw that at the end of season 1.

This show is fucking epic. Books are damn good too. Just finished the first, and it's damn near the same at season one. Can't wait till season three. And can't decide if I should read it first, book three that is, or wait for the season...

It was nice to see GoT back! The premiere picked up right where it left off, with Sam running away from the dead army. Jon has kind of earned a spot in Mance Rader's army, Tyrion is sad that his own father never came to see him or thank him for the defense of King's Landing, Dany trying to raise an army, and gets saved by the former captain of the King's Guard. All story lines picking right back up. The only folks we didn't see were Arya and Theon. Oh, and the translator for the slave trader Kranzys (?) was hot as hell!! Yowza!

have you read the books? for them to be doing this season as half of the 3rd book, they sure did skip a lot so far. also tells the tale of why there was no theon yet. i dont recall seeing bran/rickon/hodor or jamie lanister either. looks like these lines may be getting started next week. i'm re-listening to the 3rd book now, so some of my memories from the show sunday may be getting mixed up.
