2012 seat help

I just bought a 2012 Double Cab Tacoma. I love evertything about the truck, except now that I am driving it everyday, I don't think it's designed for a taller person. I'm 6'5 and I just feel like I am sitting too high in the seat. The rear view mirror is directly in my line of sight.

I'm thinking the best way to address this issue would be to find some aftermarket seats that sit about 4 or 5 inches lower then the factory seats. Anyone have any ideas about seats that may be right for me? Or, has anyone else had this issue?

Any other ideas that I may want to consider?

try going to www.jegs.com they have nice bucket seats that are pretty reasonnably priced

 

Try rotating the mirror 180 deg and see if it improves your vision.

With aftermarket seat, you lose a side airbag and the weight sensor in the seat cushion. This may cause your steering wheel airbag to stop working.

 

I'm 5'11, and the mirror blocks my way of the windshield. I can't imagine being a half foot taller and and dealing with this issue...

 

there is somebody that makes a bracket that moves the mirror up higher. ill look for it

If I remember there is another tall guy on here that modified his stock seats to help

 

Thanks for the help guys. The bracket for the rear view looks like the best way to go. I PMed the guy who makes them, so hopefully I 'm not too late.
