That's a good bet. Honestly, we came a little late to the game to beat out QC. Tho I am still reading their deal is tied up, people are pissed about the way it was pushed through.

What I'm arguing with people about, and will continue to do so, is that Seattle couldn't support an NHL team. The polls out here are showing more support for the NHL than the return of the NBA.

Also, the NHL wants a team in Seattle. They always have for multiple reasons. True NW division, rivalries and tons of $$.

It wouldn't work before because when the NBA areana was rebuilt in the early 90's they built it specifically so it COULDN'T host an NHL team. The owner was an ass and pulled a fast one; he didn't want to split any profits from one of the best franchises in the NBA with an NHL tenant. Well with the new soon to be passed arena deal, that issue is gone.

It ultimately will come down to the owner, his building(arena) and timing. Seattle could be on the NHL radar as well as QC. Neither have a building, so neither are actually realistic. Personally I think Hamilton would be a major success, but it appears the owners of the Leafs would never allow it.
