I paid $970 ($1K after tax) for the 7/75K for my 2009 DC Sport from the dealer that sold me the truck. I did not haggle them on the price because I didn't know I could. I was still happy with the bumper to bumper.

I could have saved a few hundred with Troy in Ohio but I wanted to give the business to my own dealer. It makes them more likely to help me out when needed. Case in point, they did the rear suspension TSB on my 09 without any hassle.

 

I'm well aware I may be late to the party and commend Troy for jumping on this opportunity years ago. That said I'm HERE trying to earn your buisness. I'll even supply an inquiry report for your truck. Toss me a Vin# and i'll give an example.

 

Very understandable! I would do the same if my dealer didn't try to pull crap on me (had to fight to get head rests, lost the fight for floor mats. I'm glad you are happy and loyal to your dealer. To the rest of us it is just another investment to our vehicle!

 

If you can beat Troy's prices..... my ears are perked.

I am currently offering the Toyota Platinum 7 yr / 100,000 mile Extra Care
plan w/ $0 deductible for $945.00 and the 7 yr / 75,000 mile plan for $700.00
on Tacoma 4x4s's.

Most of the details on the Extra Care plans can be found directly at
Toyota's website at the following link, including all the various terms and
options available, just let me know if you would like a quote on a different

Here are the purchase instructions if / when you decide to purchase.

I would need you to mail me an original signed letter indicating the exact
current mileage on your vehicle, and a copy of your current registration.(If
you are in a state where you don't get your state registration right away, I
can also use a copy of the bill of sale, purchase contract, or some other
official document which shows the owners name and address, along with the
vehicles VIN)

Sorry, I know its a little inconvenient, but its the only way we could come
up to cover ourselves on the mileage and VIN verification. After I receive
your letter, I can call you for credit card info, if that's how you choose
to pay, or you can include a check, money order, or the credit card info
with it. Also, make sure that the registration copy is legible (I have
gotten a couple of them recently that I couldn't read or had part of the VIN
chopped off on the copy).

How are these extended warranties different from the initial 3 year 36K factory warranty? Are these warranties just an extended version of the factory warranty? I'm getting close to my 3 years as I have an 06 (bought in October 06) with 31K miles, so I'm thinking about it.

 

A little new to this forum .... glad to see such upfront and non-confrontational (civil) discussions. My dealer in Spokane wanted $2300 for the same plan Troy offers for $945. Admittedly he said he couldn't match and wouldn't try to match Troy's price. Have sent Troy my paperwork and am pleased with the discussions thus far.
It's nice to read about people taking care of people without the "profit" motive being the primary concern.

Rumor has it that Troy's cost is $100 or $150 over dealers cost which is a nice deal considering the ridiculous list price..

 

Can these Extended Warranties be sold in Florida? I know Florida has some rule that these things are considered to be an Insurance. That precludes us from even bargaining with a dealer to get a cheaper price, or so I have been told. I will do it if it can be sold here.
