I'm not exactly sure. I know that the servos required for the bigger 1/5th scale stuff like that are a bit pricey. A quick search shows about 50-70 bucks for a better steering servo. Stock throttle servo would probably be alright. Might need to get an extra/better battery, another 20 maybe? Someone on another forum said that a tuned pipe for the motor and maybe a better clutch would help it out a whole lot. I would guess those two things would run you close to $100.

If you really wanted it, my suggestion would be to just get it from the cheapest place you could find and upgrade it as you go.

Oh, I will. I'd say pro-line is pretty good about keeping stuff in stock. Their new F-11 SC wheels have been out of stock for a while now, though. :notsure:

I'd stay away from it IMO

If you want a 1/5th scale get Losi's 5T or one of HPI

Got my spektrum dx3s today :D

After pulling the exo apart, I am going to run the telementry reciever in it, its like 16 screws to remove the cage, so if theres a peoblem in it, gonna take a minute to get it open. I rather be able to moniter the temps so I know if anything is getting too hot.

Will pick up another SR3300T reciever and put in my slash down the road.

The reviews at the bottom of the page don't sound stellar as well.

That's the radio I use, has been a solid one so far. I used to run the speed telemetry, but it's useless. You can't watch it and your model. Temp could nice if one is having overheating issues.

I dont care about the speed stuff, I mainly wanted it to be able to moniter temps, especially since the exo is completely enclosed and takes a good bit to get it open. Also being able to see the battery voltage will be nice.

It's been a while since I've read through the manual, but I'm pretty sure it won't monitor your batteries voltage (your power source) only a receiver pack, like in a nitro model (powering your receiver and servos). I could be mistaken, but seems I recall this being the case.

I think the description is a little misleading as well. There is a hack way of doing it if it's that important to you. But you have to buy a telemetry unit, and solder some wires on to your ESC, just seemed like a lot of trouble to me, I know my voltage is somewhere between 8.4v and 7.6v lol... If your interested, I can post a link to the hack.
